After a very fast flight - we landed in Tokyo and headed to our Capsule Hostel!!
We then headed to the famous 'Shibuya crossing' and walked around the area fully amazed with our surroundings! It's strange how different Tokyo felt to Korea when they are so close!
Our first meal in Tokyo was........ TAPAS! Haha! How very...Japanese of us!
I have been craving good Tapas for a few months now - so it was perfect - followed by a few glasses of Sangria. I had 'forgotten' to bring my sunglasses - and thought that Tokyo could be a cool place to pick up a pair -and on the first night - I ended up buying three pairs!

Day 2
We had thought about getting up early to go to the fish market - which ran from 5am - around 9am. But decided that we should try and sleep a little bit to be fully refreshed for our Tokyo night out.So instead we went window shopping in Shinjuku (HELLO TOPSHOP) and then went down to the fish market area to have a Sushi Lunch!
Then to Asakusa to start on our River tour. We had a bit of time to kill before the boat left - and we ended up in a Frog Festival.
We got off the boat at Hama Rikyu Gardens to look around and so that we were close to The Pokemon store. The Pokemon store was one of the places that we hadnt searched how to get there before we went - we had a rough idea - but no instructions.

But yeah - we ended up walking for a pretttttty long time and in circles. If we saw the same shopping centre one more time.....then we might have gone crazy. But it was pretty funny how many issues we were having trying to find it... all's well that ends well.....and we got there...all in one piece!
We then headed back to the hostel to chill before hitting Tokyoooo nightlife.
We ended up meeting some new people in the Hostel...'Simon from Sweeden' and also two girls who were on the same plane as us - turns out they also live pretty close to us too.....it's a small world!
Me and my two new friends fancied trying Ryeopongi - which is the mainly foreigner populated area as we want to try hitting a big Tokyo club - so we jumped in a taxi and hoped for the best.
It felt strangely comforting to be back driving on the left hand side of the road again. Andddd the taxi doors automatically opened without me having to touch the door handle.....magic.
We realised that we didn't actually know where to go - so just started following people. We were then approached by a promoter for a club and he told us that we could get in for free and free drinks. We weren't hoping for much ... a dodgy club maybe and a free watered down cocktail??!! ..... but we figured that we could at least ask people in the club for advice when we got there.
Buutttttt- we ended up in VIP - it was a pretty decent club - nothing huge - and freeee drinks all night. Tequila, champagne and cocktails. Heaven <3 <3
Leaving to the morning sunshine we tried to get to the main subway near our hostel - the taxi man took us to the train station. This very nice person then walked us from the train station to the subway (a good 10 mins out of his way) - just to make sure we got to the place ok.
We then went to see Hachiko - the statue of the dog who waited for his owner at the station for years after he died.
Looking rough? Go and take photos at a photobooth - they will photoshop the shit out of you anyway so it's all good!
We then went to chill at the Starbucks where you can watch the Shinjuku crossing - which really is amazing to watch. Especially for someone who loves people watching as much as me!!
We then headed to Harajuku - and walked down Takashita street (haha) - clothes clothes clothesssss.
We spent a good few hours shopping and admiring the views! We also bought a 'lucky box prize' - I used to love these when I was younger - but my mum told me they were a waste of money....... I won a plastic boat that emits a light when pressed.......take that mum!! Haha!
It was then time to start making our way towards the airport hotel - I think we took a longer route than needed - but we got there all in one piece. I was able to have a bath (my first one in 9 MONTHS) and we finally went to sleep at 1am - ready to wake at 530 to take the shuttle bus to the airport.
I loved everything about Tokyo. The food. The people. Seeing other nationalities. The company (to say how little sleep we all had - we were all very upbeat and positive for the trip). The Queuing. The free drinks.

| This was the expression on my face walking around Tokyo |
As me and Katherine have always said 'You can sleep when you're dead'.
Or just do what I have done and fall asleep at 5pm on the Monday after school. Who needs Monday nights in Chilgok when you've had four days in Tokyoooo.
