July - Seoul, Mudfest and saying goodbyes (Month 11)

Week 1

On Wednesday we left school after lunch to go on a school trip. All the teachers came so we had two buses full. We chilled by a stream for an hour or so - playing in the water.
We all then went for bbq and ate a lottt of food. Then the drinking started.
This area had some very nice makeoli (it was pink) - so Matt and I bought two large bottles each and headed back on the bus.
The bus then turned into a party bus. Singing. Drinking. Dancing down the aisle.
Then we all went to a Norebang. We befriended some new teachers and a fun night was had.
The next morning at school was not so fun. For anyone. Haha.

Luckily my coteacher is amazing and she brought watermelon for everyone.

On Saturday we went downtown to take part in Love 146's Scavenger Hunt. We took a lot of ridiculous photos and had fun scaring Koreans to take photos with us.

Instead of going home to get changed like normal people - we went and drank in the park. Cool.
There was a dance festival on - so we had some entertainment. We then went and sung our socks off in the Norebang. Eamon, Bonnie Tyler and Shaggy to name just a few.

Urban then had a night on - and I think it was possibly the best night I've had (in Daegu) so far. It felt like I was at home with the music.

On the Sunday - Asanda had had the best idea of us all getting together and briging a dish from our home country (I brought beans on toast haha). It was a perfect hangover day - I got to eat. Be near people. Nap a little.

 Week 2

After school on Friday we headed to Seoul - and ohhh myy godddd - the rain.
I have never seen rain like it.
There was water coming up from the ground. It felt like we swam through the streets. But meh - we were in Seoul so we were not going to let a little bit of water stop us.

Friday night we headed out- looking like drown rats and went out in Hongdae.

Saturday morning - most of the girls had booked to do the DMZ.
The others had a nice lay in and then went to a French village that Cat knew about.
When we first got there it seemed pretty creepy and isolated - I thought I was on the set of 'Are you afraid of the dark?' - but once we got to the main area - it was really pretty and we managed to get some nice food and drinks.

We were then able to hit HnM for the sale and I got some verrry niceee (read - very high) heels for only 20k! Barginnn!

On Saturday evening we attempted to see the lights at Bampo bridge - but that was a bit of a faillllll so we then headed to Itaewon for food - to find most of the food places closed.

So we did what all classy girls do - and went to the kebab shop!

Norebang, drinking and dancing all happened - ending with a walk home (with a Taco bell visit of course) - andddd then I fell over walking home. Was bound to happen.
Linh is officially the devil with order number 666

Checkout was then supposed to be at 11. But there was no way that was going to happen.

All in all Seoul was an awesome (albeit wet) girls weekend away!

Week 3

Tuesday night was Grace's Birthday so we headed downtown for food, wine and jagerbombs. This led to the missing purse and makeup disaster - which all ended up being in my bag. Oopps.

I feel like this month has been verrrry busy....
Wednesday we had Cirque Du Soleil  - which was amazinnnnnng! We couldn't take pictures inside - so here's one of us outside!

Then it was the weekend of mudfest!! We set of early to Boryeong. We chilled on the beach. We mixed our vitamin water with soju (gotta get those vitamins!) and started drinking! There were small areas of free mud - but there was also a big area where the mudpit and slides were - but there was a hugeeee queue - so we maybe just slid under the barriers and went to play in the mud.

After a day of mudding, drinking and sunbathing - I needed a kebab - a group shower and a nap before heading back out.

Big thanks to Emily for drunkenly applying my makeup as I was too tired to do it myself!

Heading back out later included a spectacular rap from Cat and myself...... then getting told off from the police for some night time swimming....

Here's a photo the day after the night before

Week 4

This week seemed like it was a week of goodbyes - even though we have one week together after everyone comes back from their holidays - theres a chance that we might not get the chance to all be together again.

So on Friday night we headed out for a quietish night - which of course still ended up with us at GoGo's  (cocktails in a bag) and Star Kebab at 3am!

Saturday daytime - we headed to the outdoor pool at Hotel Inter Burgo - opposite the Exco (which will be very close to my new house next year!!) We chilled on the beds - swam - and I burnt like crazy. So much for thinking I had a base tan already!

Grace and Nina came round to mine for a few predrinks (vitamin water and sojo - obvs)

and we then took a taxi dowtown.
This could be the last time that I'm nearly going to pee myself in a taxi....remember this moment forever.

Then multibang time!! We then spent the rest of the night playing downtown - running from one bar to another. Of course we ended up in Gogos and Jeep and ermm....Star Kebab.....again. (So much for trying to lose weight before Sam and Penny came!)

On Sunday we headed downtown for some food! Did some shopping and then I went to my very first DVD Bang. I'm not sure what I was expecting - I had heard that they were often skanky. But I was sleepy hungover but didn't want to go home straight away. There was notihing on at the cinema - so it seemed like the best idea.

Linh and I picked 'The Break Up' (would not recommend - WHERES THE HAPPY ENDING?) and we headed to our bed. We were allowed to share one blanket between us. We cracked open our kettle chips and it was a nice end to a great weekend.

I just want everyone to stay. Forever..... well - not forever. Just for as long as I'm staying for.

What's coming up in August

- SAM AND PENNY ARE COMING TO VISIT - ahhh you know - just that little thing!!
(Seoul, Busan, Daegu and Jeju - woo woo)

- My one year anniversary in Korea

- I move house!!
