April - 10k Run, Festivals galore and St George's Day in Korea

Week 1

So the rain didn't scare us away from the Strawberry festival...... we put on our wellies went on our way. I had strawberries dipped in chocolate, strawberry makeoli and other strawberry themed food / drinks!  I decided to skip the strawberry pizza though!

I got to see a person dressed as a giant strawberry, get my face painted and then go and pick strawberries so it was a successful Saturday (all you could eat whilst walking round - YUM)

The following day, we were supposed to go to Jinhae to check out some Cherry Blossoms, however the rain had ruined most of the trees, and  I didn't fancy another day of getting rained on. So a group of us went round to Adam's house - drank tea, watched The Inbetweeners and ordered a curry - unfortunately the curry wasn't the best - but the chocolate and snacks were :)

Chips and dippppppp <3

Week 2

So this was the week of the run - so of course we decided that the best plan of action was to stuff our faces with food. The day before the run we went to an Italian - and we maybe had Pizza and Pasta.

Then came the day of the run - I had a lot more fun than I was expecting! I managed to finish it in under an hour - which was the target that I had given myself - woo!
My official result was 1 minute higher - but I'm going to go with this one haha!

Then the night after the race we all met up and went for a burger!

Week 3

I worked an extra shift for the DMOE on the Saturday and then went round to Meabhs to do some baking :) We made scones and Victoria Sponge cakes in preparation of the St George's Day partaaay!

I was originally planning on then going home to tidy, but somehow ended up being 'convinced' to go out for a night to raise money for the Gaelic Football team - I love the Irish so I couldn't say no, now could I.
This night turned into me going from 'I'll come out but I won't drink' to be being a mess and losing my phone. Standard. (But I got it backkkkkk woo wooooo - Thanks Nina Jean!!!)

I realised that with all my training for the 10k, I hadn't been on a big night out in around a month - so yeahhhhhhhhh, let's just say that my house was not as tidy as I planned for the party!

Big thanks go to Meabh and Michelle for helping prepare all my shizzle as I had a quick tidy and put up my decorations. We managed to fit around 15 people in my house - tight squeeze but cosy! Majorrrr thanks also to Samuelllll for the awesome Dragon decorated cake!!

Week 4

I got to pretend to be Moses and go to a Sea Parting festival in Jindo. We did a lottttt of traveling this weekend - I don't even want to count it all up - but it was worth it!
On Saturday morning we set off to Jindo and then when the sea parted walked over to the island on the other side (we turned around before getting to the other side, as we didn't want to get stranded).

We then spent the night in Mokpo and checked out some bars around there - managed to have a much better hangover, even after tequilaaaaa.

On the Sunday we then went to Boesung Tea Fields and had green tea flavoured - milkshake, ice cream, bibimbap and makeoli. Haha. I then bought some cookies and chocolate for my coteachers - and then managed to leave them on the train. Duhhh.

I was off school on the Wednesday - so on Tuesday night I went to my very first baseball match - I had it pretty much figured out by the end - you go, eat chicken, drink beer - and if you're Cat - catch a ball!!
The night ended us with us having a nice singalong and dance to Five, Aqua and The Spicegirls - and then realising that it was 4am and we were planning on going to the Theme Park in the morning. (Spoiler alert - didn't happen)
Aniyo to E-World!

What's coming up in May

I haven't been able to run as much after The 10k as I hurt my knee the week after - but hopefully it will be better to do a barefoot run on the 12th (mainly for the free alcohol)

7km run in Seoul
This will probably be me after no training this month!

A long weekend trip to Geoje
