So, today was the day that I was expecting my apostiled CRB and copy of my degree. Tracking my document, saw everything was going great, it had reached Sheffield this morning and was out for delivery...... perfect. All my documents will be sat there, all ready to be posted **when** (I'm staying positive) I pass the interview..........Or so I thought.
Received a whatsapp from my dad - 'There is a problem with your degree, call mum ASAP' - panic set in.
I spoke to my mum, my CRB had come back with the apostile, but the copy of my degree was signed, but by the name of the solicitors not the name of the actual solicitor. ARGHHH. I am in Switzerland, my documents are in England. My mum has told me to leave it with her, and she will contact the solicitors to see what they can do.
If you're not applying to EPIK and you're one of my friends/family
reading this, you might be thinking, 'why are you stressing, you haven't
even had your interview yet'. But even if I pass the interview, I am
still not guaranteed the job, jobs go on a first come, first served
basis (after you have passed the application and interview stage!) from
when they receive your documents. So, it's a stressful time at the minute! Looks like I need some swiss chocolate to help me destress!!
And the added £6 might not seem like a lot, but these extra costs are really starting to add up. But working in Korea is what I want to do, so it will all be worth it :)
But I guess there is nothing I can do at the minute, I just need to wait what the solicitors say.
In other news, I have both my letters of recommendation ready. So that's one thing complete. YAY :)
I cannot wait until I have my contract, and I then just have to start worrying about what to pack!!
