March - Triple Birthday weekend, St Patrick's Day / Holi Hai and a rainy hike! (1 year, 7 months)

March came around farrrr too quickly. This winter was a lot nicer than last years winter, so we were able to do a lot more things instead of just hibernating after school! As happy as I am about that, (I was really not looking forward to another Korean winter) it meant that March appeared, the start of the new semester, before I felt fully ready for it!

Last year, the 6 months from March - August flewwww by, the weather started getting better, there were so many festivals...and that means that it will be the end of my time in Korea before I know it.

Week 1

We started our first March weekend off with a Triple Birthday Party Celebration in MF! We all dressed up as a song title to celebrate Dan, Sam and Niall's birthday! I dressed up as 'I left my heart in Tokyo' and we also had 'Gold digger' 'When we were young' and 'Teenage Dirtbag'. MF went all out, with printed decorations of the Birthday guy's faces, birthday cake - which ended up being eaten by a shovel, and then all over Dan, Nial and Sam's faces...

Week 2

We had a 'Pancake Party ' at my house on the Friday night as we were out celebrating Sam's Birthday on the Tuesday evening. Basically, we just ate as many pancakes, with as many different toppings without feeling sick! That followed by a Miley Cyrus film... awesome Friday night!

Week 3

We checked out a makgeolli bar that was downtown so that LR and Courtney could review it for the magazine. Of course we had to check as many flavours as we could to get a true feel of the place.
My head hurt the next day getting up for school. Ouch. Or maybe that Ouch was from falling down the stairs in Who's Bob. #TooOldForThis

We had an action packed weekend in Busan for St Patrick's Day and Holi Hai weekend! Two nights in Busan = me in need of a new weekend just as one finished. But it was an amazing weekend - obviously it's strange when you're redoing events that you had such a good time at the year before, things will always be different. I missed the old faces of course, but the Hostel helped my displaying our pictures from last year up in the hostel <3
The boys tried to recreated our circle photo - and were attacked with paint and beer.

Week 4

This was a much quiter week, with very nice weather. So we spent a lot more time outside, park weekends started again... yayyyy.

Week 5

Jo cooked me a home cooked meal - Bangers and Mash - with real sausages - it was amazinggggg!

We attempted to Hike Daedunsan....

We started off by heading to Daejeon on the Friday night. We then returned to the Indian Restuarant that we fell in love with last time, Indy. So far so good...
We then went to the Jimijilbang..which was a very nice one, around 4 floors, a nice selevtion of pools and saunas buttt I have issues sleeping in Jimjilbangs. I didn't even attempt to try and sleep until 3am.... and we then woke up at 8am (if we ever even slept, snorers - I dislike you!). Buttttt we really wanted to see the suspension bridge that we had seen in the photos - and I hadn't been on a hike since Sam and Penny were over in August!

So we threw on our raincoats and started to hike up the never ending amount of stairs... 3 hours later, there was no cable car in sight(which would lead us to where we wanted to be) so we were a little confused....

It turns out that we did not take the right entrance when we started the hike - ooops... but we completed a nice 5 hour hike and the fog looked really cool through the trees!
We deserved it after that hike!
Luckily we were all in good spirits and no one hated me for suggesting that we went on the hike....

What's coming up in April

10km run - I have done no where near as much training this year so I won't be beating last years time :(
I'm going to see Mama Mia - yayy!
Easterrrrr
St George's Day - I might attempt a small party again this year.

Oh, and just one more, small thing..... MY PARENTS ARE COMING! YAYYY!
